The approvals screen provides a one-stop-shop for Approvers to process an item. On the single screen they can view the scanned image, captured and entered metadata, workflow history and supporting documents.
Approvers are directed straight to this screen when they receive an email notification.

Panels can be customised to display different fields at different steps in the process. Rules also allow you to control which fields are mandatory and which are read-only.

Iris uses the workflow engine of the underlying Content Management system. This allows you to model a wide range of business processes from simple approvals to complex workflows. Iris can process single documents or bundles containing multiple documents as, for example, in a Mailroom handling process.

Iris records every action and approval which users make in the system. This allows Approvers and Business Users to track documents and view the workflow history. In addition users are able to attach note and supporting documents to items.

Approvers are notified by email. The email contains details of the document requiring approval and a link straight to the approvals screen.

The Listings screen shows an overview of the items in the system. The search results can be filtered by relevant criteria to allow users to quickly find the documents they are interested in.

Iris has been designed to be fully customisable by business users. Using an Administration interface selected Business users can control how documents are routed and what actions users can perform on them at different steps.
